Brief History

The Chriska Stage School was established in 1976, and the School's Principals worked for several years in professional theatre before commencing teaching in their dance & drama studios situated in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire (click here for map). Thus they have gained many contacts in all aspects of theatre and the arts. Both the principals are also examiners, adjudicators, demonstrators, and they also produce and choreograph their own productions.

The school provides a comprehensive training for stage or teaching careers, and many of their past pupils now have a successful Stage/T.V. career or have opened their own dance school.

No fewer than five stage dance festivals are organised annually by the principals, including one at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool, and also a full week's festival takes place at Pontins Holiday Centre, Blackpool each year. Please e-mail for further details.

The school also run a very successful agency, "The Chriska T.V. & Theatrical Agency". Members have appeared in many professional shows including, "Oliver", "Les Miserables", and numerous pantomimes. Also in Television and various Commercials. Please e-mail for further details.

The Chriska Stage School produce an annual pantomime and summer show, and have a full range of backcloths, scenic props and costumes, that are available to hire at very competitive costs. Also any costume requirements not in our extensive stocks can be made to order.

In addition, to complement your Pantomime or Show, we can can provide 'Pantomime and Show Merchandise' as an excellent fund raising opportunity for your production. Items such as panto badges i.e. "Robinson Crusoe", "Babes in the Wood", "Puss in Boots", "Pied Piper" etc, Fairy Wands, "Sinbad the Sailor" hats, "Babes in the Wood" pencils, and rat, cat or mouse noses are all available from stock.
